In the past two days, a national motor vehicle maintenance and repair work conference is being held. I wish the conference will bear fruit in the autumn season! It will bring hope to colleagues who have struggled for many years in the automotive aftermarket industry, and bring hope to Internet entrepreneurs who have just entered the aftermarket. hope……
Before this conference, several heavy news about the automotive aftermarket had previously excited the industry. I have written several articles discussing this topic when the Ministry of Transportation urged the transformation and upgrading of the maintenance industry in the form of an article. Search in Sogou-Interpretation of "Auto Repair Industry Transformation and Upgrade" entrepreneurial opportunities.
I was recently on the launch of Busan Orange.com and the salon on September 25. I didn’t have time to interpret these news. When I communicated with my colleagues, I mentioned by the way, I feel that everyone thinks that the technical information is mandatory, the uniform coding of accessories, and the previous anti-monopoly of accessories. It means that the spring of the aftermarket is here, especially some friends who do car information services are more interested in the uniform coding of accessories...I know that these are the New Deals, all of which are big changes, but it does not mean the spring of the aftermarket. I conclude that although this industry has capital entry, it is still struggling. I am busy with various tasks and I have no time to explain these things clearly. Compared with technical data and accessories anti-monopoly, I think the problem of uniform coding of accessories is even greater. Be more professional, so I try to make this professional topic simple.
first throw out three "common sense":
First, parts and accessories are not two identical concepts. Relatively speaking, components are parts of the production process, and accessories are parts of the service process. What is needed in the circulation link is a commodity code. The technical term is called a regulatory code. It is a code necessary for the government to regulate the circulation of commodities. In recent years, China has been extensively used in food and medicine, but at present, no country in the world can achieve uniform coding for auto parts. , If China does it, it will create a precedent in the application of the global GS1 standard, which makes me a post-market practitioner surging!
Second, the manufacturing process requires the product code, which is necessary for the company to complete production and internal and external quality control. The current three guarantees and recalls require this code to achieve accurate traceability to each car. The main joint venture When brand manufacturers started to have recalls in 2004, they began to build an accessory coding system that was accurate to each component... At that time, it was impossible for independent brands to recall, because there was no way to know which accessory was installed on which car. If it really wants to be recalled, it will be very troublesome. In recent years, the self-owned brand system has also been completed, so there is a self-owned brand recall... From a global perspective, each car company has its own product coding system, and each manufacturer is different, but it is basically a 10-13 bit code. The content is basically "model code segment parts code segment", which is equivalent to a name, but Toyota Honda's parts code is in the front, model code is in the back, Volkswagen, etc., on the contrary, our own brand depends on who we learn...
Third, we do not lack a standard for uniform parts coding. Regarding the coding standards for auto parts products, my country already had national-level auto parts coding rules in 1990. By 2004, there was a new version of parts coding. QC/T265-2004 standard, and later the Automatic Identification Technology Association also launched the "Auto Parts GS1 System Coding Standard Application Guide." Moreover, the country also has the GBT16986 national standard equivalent to ISO28219 for product coding principles that can be used for auto parts. In theory, parts and components should have a unified coding standard long ago. But today, both production and circulation in the world and China are 10,000 "yards" Pentium, but it does not seem to affect the development of the industry. The accessories codes of Europe, America and Japan are not unified, and they have not seen their counterfeit accessories rampant!
The so-called first-class companies sell standards, second-rate companies sell brands, and third-rate companies sell products... We are basically at the stage of selling products and want to be a brand, so we have to apply other people's standards. But for the world's largest automobile market, sooner or later, it must have the right to speak in standard setting, otherwise it will be passive everywhere-this is a long way to go, and continue to talk about the international standard of uniform coding of accessories.
From the perspective of the international standard for the uniform coding of accessories, currently hundreds of countries around the world apply the GS1 standard jointly controlled by the European Union and the United States, which is a family of standards, similar to the ISO system. Born in the golden age of capitalism-1974. This time the Maintenance Industry Association and the China Article Numbering Center have basically coded auto parts in accordance with this international standard, but there is no precedent for this matter even in Europe and the United States to learn from. Because in the European and American markets, the automotive aftermarket is not a tall industry, but it is already an oligopoly. Each has its own coding and circulation system, and there is no unified demand. With the help of EDI electronic data exchange technology and MMOG logistics operation guide, OEMs can well solve the logistics, distribution and quality control problems of different parts coding systems. Domestic auto manufacturers can assign new codes to accessories through the secondary packaging of accessories, which can also solve digital identification problems such as barcode recognition in the circulation of accessories.
The reason for the unification of accessory codes this time is that the problem of counterfeit and inferior domestic accessories is serious. Previously, the problem of counterfeit drugs was serious. The national drug administration system has basically solved this problem by using unified drug codes. If I search in Sogou, I wrote "Smart Medical VS "Intelligent Post Service", everyone will know that the anti-counterfeiting traceability system that can solve the drug problem can theoretically be used on auto parts. But I think that the real solution to this problem is not the uniform code, but the drug regulatory department has the sword-if the uniform code is not adopted, neither genuine or fake drugs can enter the medical insurance procurement platform. Even OTC drugs cannot enter. Various pharmacies and e-commerce platforms cannot be circulated. This is the life and death of pharmaceutical companies.
Not to mention the parts codes on the production lines inside the OEMs, even if only the auto parts entering the circulation link are required to be uniformly coded, there are three things that must be done:
(1) The government is unable to control the purchase of auto parts. This is an over-competitive market with a market size of hundreds of billions. There is almost no involvement of financial services. The circulation only relies on the accounting period of "white bars" and "triangular debts." Can run freely. If imitating drugs, then all insurance companies must be required to intervene in the procurement of accident parts-this will lead to drastic changes in the insurance industry... Let the drastic changes come more drastically :)
(2) The government has to lead the establishment of a central database for parts. All parts produced must enter the code of each part in this database. If it is not entered, it is not allowed to leave the factory. Regardless of who builds this database, how does the government force each part? Does the factory enter the data honestly? This is not narcotic drugs. It may involve drugs and crimes. Everyone knows that there is a legal basis for government supervision. But for a barrel of motor oil, why do companies force companies to submit?
(3) Establish a verification and write-off system in the entire parts circulation link. Once any part is sold, it must be written off systematically. The same part cannot be written off twice, so that the parts with forged barcodes cannot be circulated...similar to Kangzhong. Of course, accessory distributors that issue invoices and operate in compliance with the law are welcome, but after all, they are a minority. Why do most accessory mom-and-pop stores use the government-established verification system? If so, everything is under the control of the government, regardless of whether there are any fake accessories. How to "avoid tax" with profit margins:)
Actually, there are many benefits of doing this. I don’t have time to talk about it, but when there are still a lot of problems, discussing the benefits first is a fantasy. For example, German Volkswagen can well control the circulation of accessories in its 4S store system. The accessory code in the system corresponds to each repair. Whether it is three guarantees or recalls, it can be done completely. In this case, how do you Persuade Volkswagen to replace its existing coding rules with an external uniform coding rule? Bosch, ZF, Mobil...Will these accessory giants be willing to use special coding rules in the Chinese market?
Of course, NB in the Chinese market may require these multinational giants to compromise with us, but there should also be an alternative, such as using the EDI electronic data interchange system to act as a "translation" for the uniform code of accessories and the original code of the manufacturer. The technology to solve the problem has been available for a long time, but it seems that many people do not want this problem to be solved. At present, EDI applications in the field of automobile distribution are basically zero. The market field is still in the stage of literacy. Many people are talking about post-market e-commerce and supply chain finance. To be honest, EDI is not even popular, and there is no GS1 standard. E-commerce can only be used as a concept to earn some investors’ money. , I have to hope that all my colleagues in the maintenance industry association will work hard to promote the implementation of the unified coding standard for accessories. This is a great thing. I hope that everyone will support the maintenance industry association to make this waiter bed!
